Currently the Resource Flows project surveys only the countries that are members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC). Although these countries provide the largest share of Official Development Assistance (ODA), other countries also started to provide development assistance. Goals and targets were set, for example in the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), and increasingly countries started to provide financial support as well. As development assistance is provided by an increasing number of countries, it is important to asses which countries are currently the main providers of ODA. For this reason, the RF team looked into the donor countries outside the scope of the Resource Flows project to explore other players which provide development assistance and population assistance in particular.
